Apple Blossoms.....

APPLE BLOSSOMS.......

Of all the month's that fill the year,
Give April's month to me,
For earth and sky are then so filled
With sweet Variety.

The Apple-blossoms' shower of pearl
Though blent with rosier hue,-
As beautiful as woman's blush,
And evanescent too.

On every bough there is a bud,
In every bud a flower;
But scarcely bud or flower will last
Beyond the present hour.

Now comes a shower-cloud o'er sky,
Then all again sunshine;
Then clouds again, but brightened with
The rainbow's colored line.

Ay, this is the month for me:
I could not love a scene
Where the blue sky was always blue,
The green earth always green.

What a lovely Poem. It reminded me of my one and only apple tree that is in bloom. A branch of the blooms is the picture of my header. Have a great day. Madeline

Not much abloom here yet save for a few yellow sprigs of forsythia, but I have truly enjoyed April this year for the first time in many years. It's so bright and cheery in here that it even feels like April at Charli and Me.

What a beautiful poem. I can remember sitting in an apple tree when I was a little girl, every Spring. We lived on a small hobby farm and I would sit on one of the branches drinking in the beautiful smell of the blossoms!
You've given me a happy memory to think about. :)
God Bless!

This is truly one of my very favorite posts of yours. Those two pictures are exquisitely beautiful! The poem goes perfectly with the pictures and it's message is so bright and cheery. I hope you are having a relaxing day.

Your photos have certainly captured the beauty of the apple blossom. I can almost smell them. The photos and the beautiful poem, evoke memories of my childhood....when my neighborhood chums and I, would walk through the orchard, sniffing the perfumed air, while dreaming of the day when the blossoms would turn into fruit, and we could eat our fill.

Best Wishes,
Kay
