Blue Monday.....

Welcome to Blue Monday, hosted by my friend Sally, at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ A weekly post where some of us blogging buddies get together to share something blue. Thank you Sally for hosting this fun post! If you would like to join us, or you would like more information about us, just click on the above link to reach the official Blue Monday web site.....

I know this sounds silly but
I just love mixing bowls. They come
in so many pretty colors, sizes,
and shapes. Of course the color blue has always
been a favorite of mine so naturally my very
favorite mixing bowl would definitely have
to have some blue in it.....

My favorite type of mixing bowl is the large
heavy crockery type. I think they are not only
beautiful but they come in so handy for mixing breads, stuffing, and salads. I just wish all of these bowls were mine....

Although I do have many different kinds of mixing bowls the one pictured below is the one I like best. I purchased it many years ago at Hudson's Department Store. I like it because it's nice and deep. It's just perfect for mixing large quantities of ingredients. I like it so much that I wish I could find another one similar to it....
What about you? Do you have a favorite mixing bowl? A mixing bowl that's perhaps has been in your family for years and you just can't bare to part with? I would love to hear from you.....

Happy Blue Monday everyone!
I hope all of you have a beautiful day ♥
With warmest regards, Carol

Your BLUE mixing bowls are pretty; the fact that they're functional, increases their value. Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday.

Great post. Some of the bowls look like they are antique. I have one blue mixing bowl that I have had since we were first married. It really has seen a lot of use. Have a great day Carol.

I am a fan of mixing bowls also. My daughters asked for a set for Christmas a few years ago, and I found some attractive, old sets at flea markets. I think the deeper and the heavier they are, the better they work. I like all the pictures that you shared. Happy Blue Monday to you, my friend.

I love those mixing bowls! I received a set for Christmas. Although they're just the plain clear kind. BUT I love them. Love the pictures! Enjoy your day!

Hi Carol, Hi Charlie
Well I also adore mixing bowls, but just don't have the space in this little home of mine. I hang a pink and mint green handled mixing bowls for everything.
Happy Blue Monday

I gave my mom's vintage green pottery mixing bowl to my sweet DIL who loves collecting them, so I just use my regular aluminum bowls, but I have a super duper sized one that has come in handy more times than I can say!

blessings and hugs,

I love your favorite mixing bowl, it's looks nice and big and deep! Unfortunately for me, I broke all my beauties, so now I just have the metal ones. Not pretty at all, but functional and less wasteful (seriously, I am constantly dropping things in kitchen!).

Nice post!
All the best,
Eileen

I recently bought another mixing bowl. Not because I needed it, but because it was blue. It wanted to come home with me. Really. :)

You have a fantastic collection of bowls. I'm partial to the one with the broad blue and white stripes.

Every homemaker like bowls. I have the large one from a set of three, by Pyrex that we got as a shower gift almost 50 years ago. Pyrex can last a long time. Nice post today. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Blue Monday Carol! Those striped bowls are so beautiful- they are very British, aren't they? Beautiful post as always, Anita

Oh, my Farberware stainless steel mixing bowls are used every day. 33 years ago I purchased them. So many tasty treats have been prepared in these bowls, they are an important part of my kitchen. I cannot part with them.

I love mixing bowls too! The last few years, for my birthday, my sister in law has given me gift certificates to a local kitchen store that I love! I've used them to buy bowls. :)
Nothing better than a nice heavy bowl. It makes me feel so professional or something. And, I figure someday, hopefully, my own daughter will use them as well in her own home.

I love that mixing bowl that you have. I'm in desperate need of purchasing some. Mine are getting so old and chipped. I just can't seem to find crockery ones like you mentioned. Just the glass ones are the only ones I can find. Happy blue Monday!

Hey, I'm not getting kicked out of blogs any more. Yay! Your favorite blue bowls are my favorites too, but I also like the one with the blue striping.

I also like those tan bowls with the colored rings.

I have I think 3 sets of mixing bowls. The boring metal ones. The brown pyrex ones we got as a wedding gift nearly 30 years ago. and the colorful set which includes a blue bowl that was my godmother's set. I have posted about them before around last Christmas when I was using them for mixing things I was baking. I am always admiring mixing bowls even though I don't really enjoy baking that much.
