'Let The Good Times Roll'

This is a week of good times and memories for a lot of folks here in South East Michigan. It's nice to have something fun to celebrate in our cities and towns. People are starting to bring their lawn chairs and gather nightly on Woodward Ave to watch their favorite cars cruise by. These images are part of an e-mail I received from a friend this evening. I thought you might enjoy seeing them, and just maybe, they will bring back some cool memories for you and your special someone......

Very neat. LOL I just loved all of those pictures and sayings. It sure is an exciting time here in Michigan. It kind of makes me sad too though with the car industry the way that it is right now. Hopefully it will get better soon!

Thanks for visiting and for the prayers for my sis-in-law.

The Woodward Cruise is amazing, isn't it? This is the first year in the history of the cruise that my hubby won't be working it for a corporate sponsor. I asked if he wanted to visit it as a spectator but I think he'd rather play golf.

Hopefully the cruisers will have good weather. Remember the year of the big black out that stretched from MI to NY? That was Dream Cruise weekend.

Looks like fun Carol! Summer is not over yet and I just love how people want to celebrate before winter sets in again! Give Charli a kiss! Anita

How cool is that to see all these beautiful cars cruising by. The neighborhood must be enjoying this event very much. I think i would too LOL Well, just imagining setting you own chair (and everybody else doing it)- yup, I'd certainly enjoy it :-)

Oh carol, I see you used your iron cloche again :-)It is so nice to display treats in them with that bird perched atop :-)

My husband & I just returned from a trip to our home state of Michigan. While there we heard many commercials for the Dream Cruise. Unfortunately we had to go home before it took place. Your post today is the next best thing to being there. Great pictures and funny captions.

Oh Carol! What fun memories! I was so jealous of the twins who lived across the street! Their family car had fins and their teenaged big sister wore poodle skits and saddle oxfords with bobby sox...too cool! Sigh! Happy week!...Debbie
