New guidelines for mamography via government regulated task force....

New guidelines for mammography via the government regulated task force?......

Do we really want the government controlling women's health care in this country? The government sponsored task force is recommending women now wait until the age of fifty to have routine mammogram screening. The American Cancer Society disagrees with the government task force recommendations and physicians will continue to offer they're own recommendations during routine physician visits. Who is going to pay for your next mammogram? What kind of outcomes can women expect if these new government imposed guidelines pass through congress? What are your thoughts on this very important issue?

Government Healthcare is something I am avidly against!
They have not proved that they can run one thing efficiently!
I am SICK of our Government, Republican and Democrat alike! They are nothing but an albatross around the neck of most Americans.
We need a hero! I don't want your run-of-the-mill politicians anymore. I'm so sick of politics-as-usual, but I don't know what the answer is.
There's no one to vote for. I'm tired of making a choice between bad and worse.

Thanks for posting this!

I am against the Government Health care bill. I am against the federal government telling me what I can and can not do. I hate to see what our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are in store for in the years to come. I will continue to pray for our president and country. Have a great day.

This entire "health care reform" is a hoax...there is an agenda far beyond what we can see...there is no desire from the Obama administration to help any of us save money or get better health care. I don't understand why our politicians, as horrible as they may be, are tolerating this. There are a few good men and women fighting for us, but they are being ignored...our constitution is being ignored. I can't help but wonder, since Obama has now appointed several muslims to the Homeland Security office, and I'm sure there are more that we don't know about, if women are becoming chattel, as they are in muslim countries. If we have the mindset of a muslim running our country, why would they put women in high regard? They don't in their own countries, do they? What I am sick of is the blatent lies being told every time Obama opens his mouth...Joe was right on...he tells lies, continually, night and day...he and Harry and Nancy look us in the face, with their phony smiles and false words, and lie. I am sooooo angry!!!...can you tell? Now we have "new congressional districts" being created so Acorn can make sure that the elections go their way...democrats that support Obama and whatever his rotten agenda is...bowing to China, Japan, Iran, a "hearing" for Gitmo murderers...what is going on? There can be only one explanation.

Let's fall on our knees and pray to the God of the Holy Scriptures(not allah) that He protects the innocent...and pray that we're one of them.

That being said, I really do hope you have a wonderful day!

I first heard of the changes in the mamograms and pap smears from my health insurance company, about a month ago. It was a surprise to me! Yes, the direction this country is heading is bad, but to me it's just a sign of the preparation for end times. And yes, you can tell Obama is lying when his lips are moving! However, I am beginning to think we are getting what we deserve. Christians have dropped the ball of praying like we should, me included. You can't condone the killing of millions of unborn children and expect God to keep blessing our country. Soon enough healthcare will not be "healthy"! It's all about greed and control. But keep the faith! God wins in the end, as do we if our hearts are with him!

It just scares me. This is what our health care is going to turn into! What about all the women who have had their lives saved because they received mammograms earlier than the new age of 50??? Scary, scary, scary!!!

I just turned 40 in February, I've already had some female surgeries because of pap smears and just this year alone, I've had 4 mammograms. This sucks. If you ain't got $$ you ain't got nothin' anymore. It really scares me what the future will bring.

I don't want this to become a reality; I am over fifty now, but I was lucky enough to start having these tests at age 26 and I am glad I did. But what about the next generation? What is happening to us? Thank you Carol for your words. You are special! Anita

I was just at the doctor's this morning for a Pap exam and we discussed this. He isn't for more government control at all BUT he thinks that this message isn't about that. Timing (all the talk about health care) and the blunt delivery have people assuming this is about government taking over.

His opinion is that mammograms aren't doing what we (women and the medical field) had hoped. This doesn't mean we should throw out this tool, but it is not as effective as hoped. A better screening or entirely new test needs to be created.

Meanwhile, the best thing we women can do is our monthly self exams and listen to our bodies if they are telling us (or showing us) something out of the ordinary.

I don't think that the Federal Govt. should be involved with this at all. I read about this on another blog too, and it is a disgrace!
