My Dog Is Cool!....

My Dog Is Cool!
As I've traveled through blog land this week visiting friends I have noticed that some of you have written posts regarding the hazards of leaving a dog alone in a car on these very hot summer days we have been having. Some of you have linked up to http://www.MyDogIsCool.com an educational site that brings awareness to this very serious problem. Charli and Me would be remiss if we didn't do our part. Leaving a dog in the car for even as long as a minute on a hot day can cause a very serious health condition and can even possibly be fatal. The results of one study showed that when it is 87 degrees outside the deadly temperatures in a car can reach as high as 115 degrees.

At 'MyDogIsCool.com' you can down load information to place on car windows as a reminder that dogs shouldn't be left alone in a car on a hot day. They recommend that if you do see a dog alone in a car and it looks distressed go into the nearest store and ask the manager to make an announcement over the PA system or call the police.

Their goal is to spread the word to others and save lives.
At 'MyDogIsCool.com' you can also take the pledge to never leave your dog alone in a car on a hot day. It's very easy to do and is a great educational tool to teach children the importance of taking good care of they're animals.

You may have noticed this button on my sidebar. This is another great way to spread the word to others and hopefully save an animals life. It is also a direct link to 'MyDogIsCool.com' where you will find all of the information you need to spread the word yourself and bring awareness to this very important issue.

My dog is cool, I hope yours is too.....
I hope all of you are well and having a great week!
Please give your little furry friends a hug from us ♥
With warmest regards, Carol

So glad that you are spreading the word for our beloved pets...it is just too common place to have them trapped inside...

I am so happy Charli has someone who cares for her :) And keeps her fashionable and cool! :)

This is great, Carol!

Years ago a friend of mine's dog hopped in her car unbeknownst to her, got locked inside, and DIED while the car was in the garage in the summer. It was a devastating thing, too. So I'm glad you are sharing this info.

Sheila

CAROL AND CHARLI MY DEARS! Yes, yes and triple yes to making sure the four-footed ones are kept safe from this oppressive heat. My heart breaks when I see a dog or a human in a car during these hot months. Charli is a savvy little girl and can be the spokeswoman....er....spokesdog.....REPRESENTATIVE for such information! She looks darling, as usual, in her little buttercup yellow summer shift!! Heheheeeeeee

I know of a darling white poodle named Jasper that would love to be friends with her! She belongs to the lovely Penny from Angelsdoor, that I had the grand pleasure of meeting on my vacation to California. When you get a chance dearest, come visit with me and see my pictures? Bring Charli along!

Love, Anita

If only all the dogs in this country had owners as caring and devoted as Charli does. She is one fortunate pet. Good advice to all pet owners.

Lovely! And I giggled through the whole post, because immediately prior to clicking over, Dae had told Shadow, "No buddy, it's too hot." Shadow is grumpy, but he's safe and cool in the office with me!

Very important reminder. It's hard to believe that anyone would do it, but every summer it happens.
