Life on the River.....

Life on the river

Even though I don't personally live on the river our son Kurt does. He shares his home with his lovely significant other Rhonda, her awesome son Khory, and they're sweet little pooch Sophie. My hubby and I, as well as, the rest of our family love spending time there. We always have such a wonderful time and we never know what we will see on any given day. Look, here comes the river boat! Can you hear the music? The people on the river boat and the people on the river bank always wave back and forth to one another. There is always such a friendly atmosphere on the river.

This particular day on the river was to celebrate a very special some one's sixteenth birthday! Doesn't his cake look yummy? Rhonda really out did herself. We had so much fun! This next picture is of Rhonda and Khory....

We were able to see many old friends, family, and meet new friends as well. That's our son there. He's the young man in the green patterned shirt with the sun glasses.......
Oh look! There goes another boat!

And what's this? It looks like little Sophie has found herself a family of ducks....
Charli get off of that dock! As you can see someone we all know makes herself very much at home.

Our son Kurt decided to take the dinky for a ride and guess what? The motor died. We had no idea he was stranded but thanks to modern technology in the form of a cell phone he called his neighbor and was rescued.
There goes Matt now.....

Here comes Matt towing Kurt.....

Hooray! Kurt is back home safe and sound...

Just a little further down is a picture of my cousin Suzy and her husband Tom. I think they make such a cute couple!
I just love this next picture. These six young people knew each other in high school. They were the kids who used to hang around our house when our children were growing up. Look at them now. They are all grown up and most of them have children of there own They are still great friends after all of these years.

Thank you Kurt and Rhonda for showing us such a lovely time as aways. Happy birthday Khory!!! We love you guys!!!
I hope all of you enjoyed taking a little trip to the river with me.
I also hope it wasn't too annoying that I couldn't get my pictures to line up right. Blogger... It can be so frustrating sometimes....
Wishing you a beautiful and blessed week ♥
With warmest regards, Carol

What a great trip down the river! It must be fun waving to people moving on by. Helpful neighbors and handy cell phones in emergencies are the best!

Enjoy your day!

Carol dear,

Oh, to be on the edge of the water, whether it be the ocean, a river, or on a lake as is the case so much here in our love Twin Cities. The calming effect of the waves on a winding day and the fun and sun for both man and beast imprint sweet memories for us. You are so beautiful Carol, carving out memories for your family and for us, your blogger pals! Lovely summer, indeed chez toi!!!

Hi There, Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you come back often. I am enjoying reading yours.

It would be nice to live on the river or a lake. We had a choice of being on the lake or the golf course when we moved here, and chose the golf course simply because we loved the house... BUT--we do have a very private backyard which is special to us.

Looks like you have a wonderful family... Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
